and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son (Matthew 1:25)

The Virgin Birth.

God with us.

Christmas!

We read in Matthew 1:18-25:

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly.

But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.

“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.”

So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife,

and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name JESUS. (Matthew 1:18-25)

Florist Reaches Settlement After Eight-Year Legal Battle

By Brandon Porter
Baptist Press

OLYMPIA, Wash. (BP) – Barronelle Stutzman’s defense of her religious liberty is over. The florist and owner of Arlene’s Flowers reached a settlement with the men who sued her because she would not design floral arrangements for their wedding in 2013.

Stutzman agreed to pay Rob Ingersoll and Curt Freed $5,000, according to a release from Alliance Defending Freedom.

“At age 77, it’s time to retire and give my business to someone else,” Stutzman wrote in a letter.

“I’ve never had to compromise my conscience, or go against my faith.”

Rather than violate her deeply-held religious beliefs, Stutzman recommended other area florists to Ingersoll when he, a longtime customer of Stutzman’s, asked her to create an arrangement for his wedding to Freed in March 2013. Click here to continue reading.

The Chosen “is a Mormon Production from beginning to end”

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. (Matthew 24:4)

This is really serious. Dallas Jenkins refers to the Jesus of The Chosen as the “authentic Jesus,” but is this so? Is this not really a false Jesus, an interfaith Jesus, and are we not warned about this? (Matthew 24) This begins with an interview with Derral Eves, the Mormon Exectutive Producer of The Chosen.

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. (Matthew 24:5)

Here is some important background which is crucial as The Chosen is bringing its deception to millions. The woman who produced this has three excellent videos on this subject. Please watch this video and warn others:

Dallas Jenkins states Mormons, Christians “love the same Jesus”

Some years ago a pastor said that in the end times all false religions and spiritual movements would begin to trickle, and then would stream back together into one big river–in other words, the one world religion. Is this beginning to happen through The Chosen? Is Dallas Jenkins being used to bring about Christian acceptance of Mormonism?

According to Dallas Jenkins:

“So I can honestly say, it’s been one of the top three most fascinating and beautiful things about this project – it’s been my growing brother and sisterhood with people of the LDS community that I never would’ve known otherwise and I learned so much about your faith tradition and realizing, gosh, for all the stuff that maybe we don’t see eye to eye on…that all happened, that’s all based on stuff that happened after Jesus was here. The stories of Jesus we do agree on, and we love the same Jesus. That’s not something you often hear…sometimes it’s like, oh they believe in a different Jesus than we do. No, it’s the same, I mean I’ll sink or swim on that statement. I know that’s controversial and I don’t mind getting criticized at all for the show, and I don’t mind being called a blasphemer, I don’t like it when my friends are. I made it very clear that if I go down, I’m going down protecting my friends and my brothers and sisters and so I don’t deny we have a lot of theological differences but we love the same Jesus.”

To watch Jenkins state all this start at 9:44 in this video.

Christians and Mormons do not love the same Christ at all! *

According to Don Veinot:

“The Mormons opted for a different sort of Jesus. In their version, He was born as a spirit being on a planet near the starbase Kolob (wherever that is!) to a god and one of this god’s many Mormon wives. The Mormon “Jesus” came to earth and was born into a human body. He then went on to earn godhood – like his father before him and his father before that … you get the idea. The good news (gospel) of the Mormons is we too can become gods and goddesses like all the gods and goddesses before us. The male gods each marry many goddess wives, keep them eternally pregnant, giving birth to a new spirit baby every nine months to populate their own planets. Just in case you missed it, you might note that this is a different Jesus and a different gospel from the Jesus and gospel we learn about in the Bible.” [1]

For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it! (2 Corinthians 11:4)

When all is said and done, The Chosen is not family entertainment at all, but rather an assault on the biblical Christ.

*A reader was concerned several months ago because I had some positive things to say about the Mormon people. I totally understand her point, in that we should be more concerned about reaching them with the true gospel of Jesus Christ rather than constantly noting how kind and likeable they are as a people.

Did God tell Dallas Jenkins The Chosen would be “the definitive portrayal of My people…”?

Satan does indeed come as an angel of light. (2 Cor 11:14) Our need for “family entertainment,” our delight with what was presented as a wonderful show about Christ and His people, has provided an opportunity for deception to spread throughout the visible church.

If you have been a fan of The Chosen you might not want to watch this video. May your love of the Lord of the Bible give you the courage to do so.

Mormon singing group was included for The Chosen Christmas Special

Please be cautious about Dallas Jenkins and the show, The Chosen.

Dallas Jenkins is ecumenical, and his interview with the former Baptists, now Mormons, the Bonner Family, shows this. Never does he mention that they are Mormons as they speak about The Chosen and about…Jesus. This interview is on the set of The Chosen.

The Bonner Family sang O Holy Night on The Chosen Christmas Special of 2020.

According to Anchor For The Soul, “They are members of the Mormon Church. They performed at the ‘Be One’ celebration commemorating the 40th anniversary of the revelation of the priesthood in the Mormon Church, the 95th Birthday gala for the president of the Church, and their music is featured in a new movie about Joseph Smith’s wife, Emma.”

In an article on LDS Living Debra Bonner speaks about their conversion. “We said, ‘Oh, no. We don’t want to be Mormons!’” Debra says. But when they prayed about whether they should accept the invitation to be baptized, the answer was clear: “Be baptized in this church at this time.”

When all is said and done, The Chosen may be the vehicle that pulls many towards the heresy of the Church of Latter Day Saints.

According to 2 Corinthians 6:14-17:

Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?

Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?

Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said,
“I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM;
AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.

“Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE,” says the Lord.
“AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN;
And I will welcome you. (2 Cor 6:14-17)

These verses from the Word of God make clear that Christians–biblical Christians–are not to engage in a spiritual enterprise with unbelievers. Have you watched the above video? Are you able to put aside your feelings, pro or con, about The Chosen, and simply assess this based on these verses from 2 Corinthians?
