Perilous Times are Here: Fierce People

Have you noticed? People seem to have lost their ability to reason. (Romans 1) Good is seen as evil and evil as good. (Isaiah 5:20) Is it going to get worse? Yes it is. Will the Lord guide and take care of His people? Yes, He will. But terrible times are coming. Do not become dull or choose to be oblivious to what is occurring. According to the author of the Study-Grow-Know blog:

Continuing with our series on 2 Timothy 3:1-5, we’re going to move into verse 3 in this article.

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (KJV)

Are we seeing this in society today? Absolutely, one hundred percent.

Before we go any further, let’s note that this entire section of Scripture (even including up to verse 7), really speaks to the evidence of absolute faithlessness that permeates our society today. This is not simply in America, but is all over the world. Faithlessness (in God and His truth), is the hallmark of global society today.
